Annie Lockwood has been licensed as a practicing attorney in Texas since 1984, graduating from The University of Texas School of Law. Her legal areas of expertise have been in labor and employment law, litigation, civil rights, and education law. Annie is also a certified mediator trained through the American Arbitration Association. Through the Texas Education Agency she currently maintains an active mediation practice as well as serving as a special education hearing officer. Annie earned a Master’s degree from Indiana University in Special Education and was a teacher before heading to law school. A resident of Austin for over 12 years, Annie and her husband Steve are the proud parents of two sons in college, a yellow Lab named Dixie and two cats. Annie recently fulfilled a life long interest in real estate by securing her license and joining The Gardner Group as a new agent. Her experience and perspective as a mediator, lawyer, teacher, and community volunteer make her uniquely qualified to assist her clients in meeting their real estate needs. In her spare time (does she have any?) Annie loves traveling, hiking the beautiful trails in and around Austin and the Hill Country, gardening, cooking, and kayaking on the Highland Lakes.
