The Lake Travis area consists of several neighborhoods and communities offering luxury lakefront homes and plenty of suburban style homes that are perfect for families. The schools in the Lake Travis region are known across the state for excellence, especially Eanes ISD which serves Lakeway and Bee Cave. Other communities such as Jonestown and Lago Vista offer homes on the lake in quiet, rural communities. Some of the towns/neighborhoods in this area:

 

Bee Cave: This is a growing community in the Hill Country with a great reputation for making families feel right at home. Briarcliff: Just 30 miles west of Austin but still in Travis County, The Village of Briarcliff is popular with folks looking for a laid-back life near the lake. The area is surrounded by rolling Texas hills and homes are built to take advantage of the lake views. The Briarcliff Subdivision was developed in the late 1960s and there are still lots and homes that are perfect for modern buyers looking for peace and serenity.

 

The Hills: This country-club community is located in Lakeway, Texas and is a family-friendly area filled with world class golf courses, tennis courts and swimming pools. Steiner Ranch: This is one of the best known master planned communities in Austin. Started in 1988, the area is still attracting residents. Just north of Mansfield Dam in the rolling hills of western Travis County off RM620, this suburban haven caters to families. In addition to community amenities, it is also located near enough to Lake Travis to enjoy lakefront activities on the weekends.
