Austin Area
LIKE NO OTHER PLACE IN TEXAS
Texas’ capital city sits in the heart of the Texas Hill Country and the Austin area is like no other place in Texas. Don’t be surprised to find politicians mingling with musicians on Sixth Street, just blocks from the Capitol building while young mothers, artists and professors gather at local coffee shops every morning to discuss keeping Shoal Creek clean. Young professionals live in new condos in the heart of the city near the bustling UT campus and next to their favorite music venue or vintage store. Austin is also family-friendly and offers everything from master planned communities like Circle C, Avery Ranch and Steiner Ranch to historic neighborhoods like Hyde Park.
The Greenbelt and Colorado River run through the center of the city and Austinites love being outdoors in the nearly 300 days of sunshine a year. Find well-known Austin neighborhoods just south of the Colorado River and Town Lake near Barton Springs and Zilker Park, two classic Austin gathering spots. Venture further south and find even more new homes filled with families. North of the capitol sits the UT campus and some of Austin’s first neighborhoods and suburbs like Allendale and Shoal Creek. Austin keeps growing and today many families choose to live to the far north of the area in Round Rock, Cedar Park or Leander. To the west of the city is Westlake and several upscale communities surrounding Lake Travis.
Austin attracts new families and young professionals, retirees and rock stars from around the country and around the world. There are several different neighborhoods throughout the city, and no matter what your needs, a Gardner Group agent can help you find exactly what you are looking for in a new home.
